I registered but never received my password, now what? When you register the Webmaster gets an email and verifies you are a resident. Then an auto reply link is generated that sends you your password. Spam filters sometimes block the reply with your password. If you don't receive a reply, simply email webmaster@middlegatevillage.org and I will personally send you a temporary password you can use to log in and then change later.

I want to unsubscribe and cancel my account/profile. What do I do?

Is my Registration Information Secure? Yes, only Board Members have access to the information. It was agreed that privacy was the top priority of the website. Only email Village business. Keep the information private.

Middlegate Village Deed Restrictions prohibit soliciting. We installed signs at all entrances as well as parks. Can residents notify Sheriff's Department of violators? Sure they can, however there is no law against such. The freedom of speech gives them this right to pass out information as long as they are not trespassing or commit another type crime while doing so. Once the homeowner advises them to leave, they must leave immediately or risk going to jail for trespassing.

There is a cat or dog roaming my street. What can I do? According to the Harris County Webiste
Unconfined Animals

What is this website all about?
The All New Website!
Your Board of Directors are proud to announce an all new website for our Village!
We hope that the new website will be a great way to keep our neighborhood organized and well informed. We have chosen a format that is secure and responsive to the needs of residents. We will have surveys and newsletters to keep you informed and let us know how you feel. We hope you like the changes and look forward to hearing from you. Please register and include your email address. We place personal privacy as our top priority but without your input to the board we will not know whom to inform about issues that you are interested in. Please indicate as much information as you feel comfortable. We want your input on surveys too. We will email you reminders so that everyone has a chance to provide input. Choose yes or no under "other details" when registering for info regarding Pools & Parks, Security, Lost Pets, and General Info. Ignore Show Children as we have removed that info for your safety.
Thanks,

Who at the county level is in charge of regulating speed and parking? What about installing speed bumps on the street? MGV HOA approached the County about having lower speed limits posted in Middlegate. We were denied. Speed bumps were also rejected. Sheriff's Department says that as long as vehicles are legally parked there is nothing we can do about it. It is illegal to park in an intersection in Middlegate. If you see a speeder get the description and try to get the license plate. Get that info to the Sheriff Dept. 713-221-6000.

Who do I contact about digging in the yard? (Sewer,Power,Cable,Phone,Gas) Is there one consolidated place or do I need to contact each service provider? One-Call Board of Texas ( www.onecalltexas.com/faq.html) is a good place to start for digging information. Please note that this site states that sewage and water lines are not included in this service.
Be advised that Middlegate Board of Directors only offers this information to assist you. We do not endorse any providers of service nor do we intend for this information to be all inclusive of the homeowners responsibilities.

Who do I contact for a crime related issue? The first thing you should do is call the Sheriff's Department each and every time an event happens. The more you call the more likely it will get attention. I also recommend that you contact the Copperfield contract Sargent. That would be Sgt. Grady Castleberry who maintains an office at the Copperfield Community Center. The best time to reach him is during morning hours at 281-960-9217. You might also want to make an appointment to go by and visit with him.
Another option would be to attend the monthly(1st Wed) crimewatch meeting at 6:30 PM held at the Community Center. Get there a few minutes early and advise the chairperson, Sharon Malkovicz, that you wish to be put on the agenda. The Sgt. should be present so you can address your issues with him at that time.
I think you will find that the Sheriff can help you.
Be advised that you need to have dates, time of day and description of persons that you can present. Unfortunately these people have to be caught in the act so it will take time as well as you and your neighbors getting on top of this. Getting pictures is also goes a long way.
-
Why should I register? To receive important information in a timely manner. Vote on issues that will affect you. Have your voice be heard. Find out about community activities before they happen.
